Urban train
A tour of the city on the tourist train is an attraction not to miss when in Ljubljana. The circular route has 10 stops and includes all the major sites in the city.
Educational and fun ride across Ljubljana
Urban starts its circular route in the vicinity of the Town Hall, it goes to the Ljubljana Castle, then takes you alongside the banks of the Ljubljanica River over the Trnovski pristan Embankment, through the contemporary centre of Ljubljana, past the Opera, the Modern Gallery and the Prešeren Square with the Triple Bridge, returning to the starting point.
You can board the train at different stops and combine your wonderful exploration of Ljubljana with visits to the gallery, the castle and other sites, or you can simply bathe in the sun next to the Ljubljanica River along the route while enjoying your favourite drink or stopping for lunch, and then take the train again. Or you can complete the whole circular route on the train and learn a lot about Ljubljana. You can tailor your day to your liking.
A free seat is available at the starting station.
During winter the train cars are closed and heated, and the train car windows are open in summer.
An audio guide is used for the presentation of all major city sites. It is available in eleven languages (Slovene, English, German, Italian, Croatian, French, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, Dutch, Greek, Arabic and Chinese).
